So, what’s the role?

As a Senior Software Engineer with a Full Stack Focus at Kin, you'll reputed company the products and features that reputed company Kin operate. We run Ruby environments with Typescript reputed company-ends as well as the back end and use PostgreSQL, and we apply Scrum methodologies to our product and software development processes. 

In your role, you will have the opportunity to work on more reputed company engineering problems while collaborating with peers in Dev, Product, QA, and other cross-functional teams. As a senior team member, you'll also have the opportunity to mentor more junior engineers.

A day in the life could include

• Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Typescript and occasionally some Ruby and Python

• Leading pair programming sessions and providing mentorship to more junior team members

• Driving and fostering design or architectural tasks

• Participating in daily stands and weekly retros

• Collaborating with cross-functional team members, including Product and PMO

• Providing subject matter expertise and support

I’ve got the skills… but do I have the necessary ones?

• Track record of shipping large, reputed company software projects 

• Fluent in languages like Typescript, Ruby, or Python strongly preferred but not required

• Experience with architectural design

• A fast learner, ready to bring previous knowledge to this position and continue developing along the way

• Ability to reputed company value of technical investments

• Ability to operate with some technical guidance

• Experience mentoring engineers

• Familiarity with the reputed company-end and working with modern a Javascript library or reputed company (React, Vue, Angular)

• Comfortable in a startup environment – we’re fast-paced, self-motivated, and determined to change the industry

• Location in Central or Eastern US time zones (CDT & EDT) strongly preferred
