Fitch Group is a global leader in financial information services, and they are seeking an Analyst or Senior Analyst to join the Global Corporates, Infrastructure and Project Finance group. The role focuses on leading and executing analytical initiatives, supporting research efforts, and developing data-driven products to enhance corporate credit research.
Responsibilities
- Develop, support and maintain Excel applications used in the rating and research process
- Integrate and mine large data sets, connecting data from disparate sources (primarily Oracle, Mongo databases) to identify critical insights and pragmatic data solutions
- Collaborate with functional experts and organizational leaders in the implementation of new products and process improvements
- Produce data-driven reports and presentations for internal and external use
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a technical/quantitative field
- Previous experience as a data engineer or data analyst
- Python, VBA and SQL programming knowledge required
- Experience and expertise working with relational/non-relational databases and understanding of storage technologies (MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB)
- Business Intelligence experience required, including hands-on development and analysis in Qlik Cloud
- Experience with Agile development concepts and related tools a plus
- Have a keen interest in finance and business. Knowledge/experience in finance/accounting, economics or capital markets a plus
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Excellent written and verbal communication
