As a Data Engineer at arenaflex, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing data infrastructure that handles massive volumes of sensitive information. Your technical expertise will directly contribute to our ability to deliver seamless, secure, and compliant financial services to millions of customers worldwide. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment and wants to make a meaningful impact on a global scale.

What You'll Do

Your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass a wide range of technical and strategic activities designed to keep our data systems running smoothly and efficiently. Here's what you can expect:

  • CI/CD Pipeline Integration: Create and maintain robust automated test cases that seamlessly integrate into continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, ensuring rapid and reliable releases.
  • Observability Implementation: Build observability capabilities into data solutions to enable rapid identification of root causes during system failures, minimizing downtime in time-sensitive processes.
  • Scalability & Performance: Develop and optimize SQL queries and database schemas that support scalability requirements, ensuring systems can handle growing data volumes efficiently.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet evolving business needs.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Implement data solutions that adhere to strict financial regulatory standards, maintaining data integrity and security across all systems.
  • Documentation & Best Practices: Create comprehensive documentation for data models, pipelines, and processes, establishing best practices for the engineering team.
  • Innovation & Learning: Stay current with emerging industry trends, technologies, and best practices. You'll have dedicated time allocated for professional development and skill enhancement.

Who You Are

We're seeking a candidate who brings a blend of technical excellence, collaborative spirit, and a commitment to continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Educational Foundation: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related technical field.
  • Technical Experience: 2-3 years of hands-on experience in developing, deploying, and operating relational database systems across multiple environments.
  • SQL Expertise: Strong proficiency in SQL, with demonstrated experience in query optimization, schema design, and database performance tuning.
  • Automation Skills: Proven experience in developing automated test cases and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines using industry-standard tools.
  • Observability Background: 2-3 years of experience implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system reliability and rapid incident response.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues under pressure.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Team Player: A collaborative mindset with experience working in cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
