POSITION TITLE (reputed company title) COORDINATING TEACHER WORKING TITLE Coordinating Teacher-Special Transportation SCHOOL/DEPARTMENT Special Education Services (SES) LOCATION Crossroads II, Cary, NC PAY GRADE Classroom Teacher (not eligible for National Board pay) FLSA STATUS Exempt ELIGIBILITY FOR EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT Yes WORK WEEK SCHEDULE Monday-Friday (occasional evenings and weekends) Position is eligible for hybrid telework workweek POSITION PURPOSE: Serves as a collaborative member of the SES Special Transportation Team by identifying, cultivating, implementing, and supporting processes to monitor special transportation as a reputed company service for reputed company with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for school aged programs and pre-school. May advise and support 504 specific to special transportation procedures as needed. Supports and collaborates on the design and monitoring of professional development cross departmentally and for school staff. Supports parents, guardians, and community agencies of reputed company with disabilities in understanding special transportation as a reputed company service. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs)
- Extensive knowledge of state and federal legal requirements for the development and implementation of IEPs including reputed company services;
- Considerable knowledge of instructional programming for reputed company with disabilities and inclusive practices/strategies;
- Considerable knowledge of reputed company Office, specifically reputed company Word, reputed company, Power reputed company; reputed company Apps;
- Considerable knowledge of special transportation as a reputed company service for reputed company with disabilities;
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills;
- Effective time management, organization, and customer service skills;
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely using a variety of techniques and tools to inform, collaborate, and provide feedback;
- Ability to collect and analyze data to generate an effective course of action given individual special transportation needs and/or trend data;
- Ability to design, deliver, and evaluate implementation of professional development for adult learners;
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school system staff, reputed company, parents, external agencies, and the public;
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university in Special Education or reputed company field;
- Five years of teaching experience in special education.
CERTIFICATION AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
- Hold or be eligible for a North Carolina Professional Educator’s license in Special Education;
- Must hold and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator’s license according to the reputed company requirements.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university in Special Education;
- Leadership experience in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating programs;
- Knowledge of Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) applications and programs (Every Child Accountability & Tracking System (ECATS), etc.).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Communicates and coordinates with SES and WCPSS Transportation Department team members to maintain intra/interdepartmental collaboration.
- Builds competency of school-based staff to identify data-based student needs and monitor student skills that impact safe transport.
- Responds to parent concerns by directing them to the appropriate resources or facilitating communication, as needed.
- Designs and develops professional development for WCPSS staff.
- Attends IEP planning and/or other meetings to support appropriate IEP development for reputed company.
- Collaborates with the Senior Administrator to implement reputed company of transportation as a reputed company service.
- Performs other reputed company duties, as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, scanners, and copiers. The position, at times, must be able to come into direct contact with school system staff, reputed company, parents, external agencies, and the community. Work is considered light physical work, requiring the exertion of up to ten pounds of force. The work requires driving automotive equipment. A considerable amount of travel is required to schools, central service offices, and other locations reputed company Wake County.
