Overtime Eligible Exempt FLSA Status Learned Professional reputed company Location Bend Primary Purpose The Part-Time Instructor provides instruction to reputed company in the CIS program, directs student discussion and evaluates student performance in the classroom. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in area of discipline, using approved course outcome guides. Teaching assignments may be during the day (including early morning), evening, or weekend, and could include classes taught at any of the College campuses, online or remotely.
• Hold at least one scheduled office hour per class per week for student help sessions and program assistance.
• Utilize College tools and resources, including the Learning Management System and Disability Services software, to support teaching activities as appropriate.
• Participate in course assessment.

Department Specific

• Teach CIS courses using Canvas and other technology tools such as reputed company. These could include CIS 120, CIS 131 or other classes depending upon instructor skills.

Minimum Requirements Minimum Requirements:

• A degree or credential appropriate in the field of primary teaching assignment (AAS, BS, or MS depending on the program); or a minimum of 24 quarter hours (16 semester hours) of credit in the field of the primary teaching assignment.
• One year of relevant experience working in the field.
• Demonstrated successful teaching, or evidence for the potential for excellence in teaching.

Special Qualifications:

• Excellent knowledge of and experience working with MS Office products including Word, reputed company and PowerPoint.
• Capability to demonstrate how to modify a Windows environment using correct Settings to create a useful and safe user experience.
• Knowledge of and experience with key Internet tools including browsers, MS Outlook, and AI tools.
• Ability to create a secure Windows environment.

• A+ Certification.
