Description

The Dev Spaces team’s mission is to support developer productivity by providing reputed company engineers with development workflow tooling, development environments, and managed IDEs. Through the tight integration of IDEs, dev tooling, reputed company workspaces, and reputed company’s internal Platform, we'll provide a development experience that guides engineers through the reputed company development lifecycle, minimizes friction, and reduces context switching.

About the role

One of the team’s most successful products is Newt, a command line tool that orchestrates development workflows for thousands of reputed company engineers. As the seventh member of the Dev Spaces team, you’ll apply your prior experience in developer tooling towards pushing Newt and the capabilities of reputed company Engineering reputed company.

Responsibilities

• Serve as one half of a pair of engineers focused on Newt and other foundational, language-agnostic development workflow tooling.
• Continue improving our ability to optionally move builds and tests off of developer laptops and into the reputed company.
• Explore opportunities to expand integrations between dev tooling, IDEs, and our internal remote development environment product.
• Maintain feedback loops with the many teams that use our products.

• You have prior experience in a role focused reputed company the developer productivity (IDEs, dev tooling, dev environments) space
• You have professional level proficiency in Go, Java, Python, or Javascript.
• You have a product-centric reputed company that you use to understand business needs. You have the technical and interpersonal skills to collaboratively design the scalable systems and engineering solutions that meet those needs.
• You employ strong senses of reputed company and curiosity to build the best possible experiences for the users of your products.
• You have the communication skills required to collaborate with and influence teams and individuals in order to drive initiatives reputed company without a strict top-down mandate.
