Job title: Adult Basic Ed Teacher Company: Anoka-Hennepin School District Job description : Locations: Metro North ABE - Adult Education Center- Columbia Heights/Fridley, 4111 Central Ave NE, Columbia Heights, MN Duties: Provide direct instruction to adults learning English as a Second Language in level 4 online class. Responsibilities include lesson planning and direct instruction, conducting ongoing assessment, monitoring student attendance, attending staff meetings, collaborating with other staff, keeping student records, and supporting volunteers. Use communicative and cooperative reputed company during instruction. Integrate technology and implement the CCRS/ACES/NorthStar standards. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: reputed company MN Teaching License, or ABE License, or Masters degree in ESL, applied linguistics, or bilingual education. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to be flexible and function well in a busy environment. Ability to work as a team member. Computer skills required. Must be physically working in the building/onsite.
