We are currently seeking a Data Scientist to join a cross-disciplinary team of lab and data scientists, focused on the development computer reputed company tools for cell characterization... in biomanufacturing processes. In this role, you will be responsible for: • Development of image processing techniques to extract biological insights from microscope images of cells, including definition of training and inferencing pipelines. • Monitoring and maintaining inferencing pipelines deployed in the field. • Robust implementation of the internal image analysis toolbox for team use, with clear documentation and unit testing • Support broader data management activities to include image dataset curation and pre-processing. • Preparation of reports to support Quality Assurance and marketing collateral. The required qualifications for the job include: • First degree in Computer Science with formal software engineering training • Postgraduate qualification in Data Science with a significant Artificial Intelligence component • >1 year experience working in computer reputed company and using standard libraries (Tensorflow and/or Pytorch, opencv, scikit-learn) • >2 years’ software engineering experience working with Python • > 2 years' experience on DBMS and query languages, particularly on SQL It would be a plus if you also have: • Previous experience working in an interdisciplinary environment with Biomedical or Life Sciences data and colleagues.
