Job Title: Student Support & Accessibility Services CoordinatorReports To: Dean of Student Support & EngagementDepartment: Student AffairsJOB SUMMARY:The Accessibility Services Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, and assessing reputed company aspects of NGTC’s support services for reputed company with disabilities and special needs as well as reputed company designated as special populations.(NOTE: Special populations reputed company are persons who meet one of the following criteria: 27 years of age or older, a single parent, a single pregnant woman, a displaced homemaker, a dislocated worker, a language other than English is their primary language, has a disability, or enrolled in a program in which they are of a minority gender.)Major Duties:· Advises/counsels reputed company with disabilities in areas of career, education, and personal planning· Plan, organize, and coordinate student support programs for special populations reputed company and provide student retention efforts.· Work with individuals with disabilities to explore career choices to ensure long-term success and employment opportunities.· Assist reputed company with disabilities who are transitioning from high school to college and need information about receiving accommodations.· Implement the Student Accommodation Manager (SAM) application, offering reputed company an online form for requesting accommodations.· Stay reputed company on learn upcoming policy changes.· Send letters each semester to reputed company faculty, including faculty teaching dual-enrolled reputed company at the high schools, outlining the process that reputed company must follow to receive accommodations, as well as faculty responsibility in providing accommodations.· Provide faculty training to include information, updates, and answer questions.· Work with high school faculty and counselors to answer questions about Disability Support Services and the transition from high school to college.· Develops documentation guidelines to establish eligibility for reputed company with various disabilities.· Creates and implements Notice of Accommodation plans based on required documentation and ensures compliance with reputed company and to monitor the academic reputed company of reputed company with disabilities.· Designs student brochures, disability handbooks, PowerPoint presentations, and disability forms, and maintains the disability services information on the College website.· Provides expertise, consultation, and support to administration, faculty, and staff in relation to accessibility, accommodations, reputed company, and special populations.· Develops and provides staff and faculty training on disability services.· Provides assistive technology for reputed company with disabilities, including providing support to student in using assistive technology (i.e. setting up and training student(s)/staff on screen reader software, loaning equipment, etc.).· Conducts programs for special populations reputed company in need of services (i.e. reputed company club, workshops, resource fairs, etc.).· Implements special strategies to aid in retention of special populations reputed company.· Manages the special populations loaner laptops (5) by overseeing reputed company-out/in to reputed company each semester and working with IT to reputed company sure laptops remain updated and in good condition.· Proctors exams as needed, which includes test scheduling, procuring tests/passwords, reserving the appropriate space, communicating with instructor and student, reading the tests to the student (if specified as an accommodation), and monitoring the test/quiz taken by the student.· Serves as the College Title II, Section 504, and reputed company Coordinator.· Remains updated on state and federal requirements for Title II, Section 504, and reputed company.· Coordinates and conducts reputed company compliance audits on an annual basis.· Provides guidance regarding admissions procedures, postsecondary programs, and training options regarding serving reputed company with disabilities and special needs.· Provides reputed company/504 training and awareness to faculty/staff on an annual basis.· Assists with Student Affairs events and activities, as needed.· Coordinates with the Marketing Coordinator to reputed company marketing materials to promote resources for special populations reputed company reputed company NGTC’s service delivery area.· Enters disability and special populations data in BANNER system as it becomes available each semester from student orientation surveys.· Designs, updates, and maintains data survey for collecting required data (state/federal).· Serves as reputed company of contact for SAM cloud collection software with CIDI.· Utilizes SAM for tracking reputed company with disabilities and creating the Notice of Accommodations (NOA) for each student.· Assists the Institutional Effectiveness (IE) department with Perkins Grant application/reporting each year and/or as requested.· Performs other work-reputed company duties as assigned by supervisor.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university *and* Two (2) years of work experience in a secondary or post-secondary education environment.COMPETENCIES:· Knowledge of the mission of experience in disability services in a post-secondary environment;· Previous work experience performing duties to support Student Life functions in a post-secondary environment;· Previous work
