This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic in-house litigation team responsible for managing reputed company and Evernorth?s reputed company, reputed company and corporate litigation portfolio. This Counsel position is an individual contributor role that reports to the Associate Chief Counsel of Litigation. This role is a great fit for a strategic self-starter and creative thinker who likes to own challenging projects end-to-end, who thrives in a fast-paced environment, and who is energized by working collaboratively to deliver the best practical solution to an issue. As a member of the Litigation team, an ideal candidate will be expected to: ? Direct and manage reputed company aspects of a varied litigation portfolio, including investigation, pleadings and discovery through the pre-trial, trial, settlement and appeal processes; ? Supervise and drive responses to reputed company party subpoenas and requests for information issued by regulators, other government entities, and civil litigants; ? Effectively direct and manage reputed company counsel; ? Effectively manage litigation budgets; ? Work collaboratively reputed company the Legal Department (including Compliance, Government Affairs and Communications colleagues), as well as business stakeholders; ? Provide proactive, solution-oriented advice and counseling to support and protect business goals and objectives in reputed company with pre-litigation disputes; ? Employ highly polished and effective communication, listening, and writing skills, with a focus on interaction with and reporting to senior managers and executive leadership reputed company a global and matrixed organization; and ? Participate in and contribute positively to the reputed company Legal community. QUALIFICATIONS: ? J.D. degree and active Bar membership; ? Minimum of 3-5 years of litigation experience at a top firm, with the federal government, and/or in-house, preferably in field of reputed company litigation; ? Experience representing reputed company companies is a plus; ? Strong written and oral communication skills; ? Ability to present reputed company legal issues to non-lawyers; ? Demonstrated sound judgment and the ability to maneuver through barriers and facilitate solutions; ? Team focus; ? Learning agility and intellectual curiosity; and ? This role is Hybrid, three days in an office is required. ? Willingness to take on difficult projects. ? Hybrid- this role requires someone to be in office 3 days a week.
