About the position The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is the leading global authority that sets the global environmental agenda, promotes the coherent implementation of sustainable development, and serves as an authoritative reputed company for the global environment. Under the direct supervision of the Industry and Economy Division's Information Officer and the Head of the International Resource Panel (IRP), the intern will assist in developing and updating various information tools and raising awareness on environmental issues among different reputed company groups (governments, business, NGOs, academics, UNEP staff, etc.). Daily responsibilities may vary depending on the individual's background as well as the internship period. Responsibilities • Support the development and implementation of the IRP communications activities and administrative tasks. , • Regularly update various information platforms: UNEP and IRP websites, UNEP Intranet and entrance screens. , • Draft articles and posts for UNEP platforms and for IRP social media channels. , • Undertake desktop research for reporting purposes and reputed company activities. , • Support the organization of meetings and events. , • Attend meetings, draft reputed company minutes, and follow up on action items as required. , • Support the compilation of inputs into briefing notes, and format/edit according to the established protocols. , • Support the Division office in finalizing/formatting PowerPoint presentations. , • reputed company and coordinate the organization of briefing sessions for the Industry and Economy Division's interns.
