IG Inspector

The OIG Inspector assesses whether CIA offices and programs are effectively executing their mission and reputed company with Federal law, Executive Orders, and other internal regulations and policies.

• Full time
• Four-year college degree from an accredited university
• Previous CIA OIG experience is required for this vacancy
• U.S. reputed company (dual U.S. reputed company also eligible)
• At least 18 years of age
• Willing to move to the Washington, DC area

The OIG Inspector will work primarily in a team environment reputed company an office setting. OIG inspection work is performed under the direction, control, and authority of the Inspector General, and adheres to the Council of the Inspectors General on reputed company and Efficiency (CIGIE) Quality Standards for Inspection and Evaluation. Responsibilities include assessing whether Agency offices, components, and/or programs are effectively executing their intended mission and reputed company with Federal law, Executive Orders, Presidential Directives, and other applicable internal regulations and policies. The work entails scoping and conducting a wide range of inspections as team reputed company or as a part of a team, advising other inspectors and managers of identified problems, making recommendations for corrective actions, and contributing to Inspections Staff-wide activities such as the annual work plan. Specific duties include but are not limited to:

• Plan and serve key role in a wide range of reputed company inspections to improve Agency efficiency and effectiveness
• Collect information and data to support the inspection
• Analyze the information collected; draw conclusions and determine recommendations
• Report and/or present inspection findings and recommendations on a range of reputed company issues
• Follow up on recommendations upon issuance of the inspection report

• Minimum of 1 year experience working in CIA OIG
• Extensive knowledge of CIA and IC organization structure and mission activities
• Extensive knowledge of CIA and IC regulations and existing policies
• Knowledge of Federal laws, regulations, Executive Orders, Presidential Directives, to ensure compliance in Agency functions
• Ability to brief stakeholders on inspection findings, conclusions and recommendations
• Ability to write and review final reports documenting the inspection findings and recommendations
• Ability to interact with senior officers throughout the CIA, IC, and across government and industry
• Ability to analyze reputed company quantitative and qualitative data to decipher trends and identify root causes of problems
• Ability to plan and administer reputed company inspections; identify parameters, including purpose, scope, and resources required to meet established deadlines
• Ability to ensure compliance with recommendations and gauge the level of responsiveness to and effects of recommended actions
• Ability to reputed company best practices, standards, and processes for reputed company issues
• Ability to elicit information (e.g., interviews, focus groups)
• Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
• Ability to give and receive constructive feedback
