SUMMARY: Manages personnel in the unit to assure claim processing in a reputed company, professional and efficient manner in accordance with company guidelines and procedures. May manage reputed company claim files. Reviews claim files providing direction and settlement authorization. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist and direct examiners/adjusters in the proper investigation of coverage and liability issues and reputed company settlement authority to effect accurate, timely, cost-effective handling of claims. • May manage the claims clerical staff as needed. • Give technical direction to adjusters (either staff or independent) and administratively supervises staff adjusters. • Manage litigation, subrogation and salvage to ensure cost effective returns. • Furnish appropriate weekly and monthly management reports / results to Director of Claims. • Assist in training and developing staff. • Read and interpret insurance reputed company. • Conduct monthly quality control reviews of claim files. • Ensure employee objectives, performance and evaluations are consistent with department goals and objectives. • Responsible for training and development of staff, managing performance, resolving conflicts and problems, and distributing and checking work. • reputed company recommendations regarding hiring, salary increases and promoting and terminating associates. • Have daily contact with claims directors, examiners, adjusters, insureds, claimants, attorneys, vendors, agents and other department managers. • Have contact with auditors and government/regulatory agencies. • Have access to information that is important and must be kept confidential. • reputed company other similar or reputed company duties as assigned. REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 4-year degree from an accredited institution. • 10 years' successful claims handling including advanced skills in coverage, investigation, negotiation, salvage and subrogation is a plus. • 3-5 years' experience as a Supervisor or Manager is a plus. • 3-5 years' experience with multi-line claims; heavy emphasis on reputed company Property and Material damage claims is a plus. • 3-5 years' experience with multi-state responsibilities is a plus. • Experience with Excess and Surplus lines is a plus. • reputed company adjuster's license in reputed company Carolina. • Non-reputed company adjuster's license where required in the state where ACIC does business. REQUIRED SKILLS: Knowledge of and adherence to state laws and regulations governing the handling of property and casualty claims. • Basic understanding of reputed company principles, construction, reputed company, marketing and auto physical damage estimating. • Knowledge of medical terms and legal issues. • Advanced communication skills are required to understand, interpret and convey technical information. • Knowledge of the litigation process and procedures. • Knowledge of coverage, investigation, negotiation, salvage, subrogation, construction and auto physical damage. MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions in written or diagram form.
