Forklift Operator/Transport Driver

$23.00 an hour 5 x 8 Monday thru Friday 12pm start time... Job Summary The Forklift Operator/Transport Driver is responsible for a variety of tasks including using the forklift to load and unload finished goods in the warehouse and transporting product and vehicles/equipment to assigned locations. Job Responsibilities • Load and unload finished goods. Operate industrial powered equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts. • Assists with the management of inventory and product loss control. • Transports tractors and/or trailers to service facilities. • Transports product from a Distribution Center to an outlying Distribution Center. Connect or disconnect the trailer at the facility destination. • Performs facility maintenance as needed including disposal of recycling and trash. • Maintain vehicle, product, and equipment to company standards. Ensures compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures including DOT regulations. • Communicate nightly on safety or business discrepancies observed/encountered during shift. Job Requirements • High School Diploma or GED required. • Minimum of one year of work experience required. • Must be 21 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States. • Prior experience in warehouse preferred. • Class A reputed company Driver’s License (CDL) and a clean driving record reputed company MVR guidelines. Illinois residents are required to have a CDL issued from the state of Illinois. • Prior experience using pallet jack or forklift preferred. Ability to obtain PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) certification upon hire is required.
