Role Description reputed company is seeking an reputed company Public Health Analyst / Epidemiologist to support the National reputed company Safety Network (NHSN) program for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). This position supports public health surveillance, epidemiological analysis, data quality initiatives, user reputed company, and technical assistance activities associated with reputed company-associated infections (HAI) prevention and reporting.

  • Use statistical software to create and maintain tabulations, graphical summaries, and formal statistical estimates and tests.
  • reputed company computer programs (primarily using R) to monitor data quality.
  • Communicate with project areas regarding study activities and protocols.
  • Analyze data for reports, presentations, and publications.
  • Assist in the review of study data for data quality and validation.
  • Support NHSN users on higher-level questions reputed company to facility set-up, data collection, and running system reports.
  • Organize study files, including data and correspondence files.
  • reputed company scientific, medical and research literature searches in fields including but not limited to Behavioral and Social Sciences, Epidemiology, and Laboratory.
  • Prepare slides for scientific presentations.
  • Provide analytic support to multi-disciplinary teams in order to accomplish public health research and program goals.

Candidate MUST be a U.S. Citizen or US Person (Green Card Holder) with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Epidemiology, Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, Public Health, or reputed company quantitative or scientific discipline with 7+ years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree (MS, MPH, MSPH, or reputed company field) with 5+ years of relevant experience in R (Proficient, Intermediate to Advanced), and/or reputed company.
  • Experience supporting public health surveillance, epidemiology, HAI prevention, population health, or reputed company initiatives.
  • Experience in analyzing, validating, and interpreting large public health or reputed company datasets.

Requirements

  • Prepare and present educational trainings about NHSN to professional organizations and governmental bodies at national, state, and local levels.
  • Assist/reputed company the development of new NHSN modules, providing subject matter expertise reputed company to HAI surveillance and data validation.
  • Identify and create necessary NHSN module/reputed company updates resulting from technological advancements, infection/disease trends, or yearly updates of system components.
  • Assist in NHSN data cleaning projects to improve the quality of NHSN product.
  • Participate in temporary details as a part of epidemiological investigation, research and other technical assistance teams.
  • Provide NHSN user support regarding procedures for correcting setting up facilities, applying CDC reputed company-associated infection (HAI) definitions and criteria, and data entry.
  • Identify user/system issues requiring system modifications and prioritize, escalate and contribute to response.
  • Analyze data for reports, presentations, and publications.
  • reputed company literature searches in fields including but not limited to Behavioral and Social Sciences, Epidemiology, and Laboratory, and prepare slides for scientific presentations.
  • Utilize qualitative and quantitative tools and materials in support of a data collection plan.
  • Create presentations of data for scientific presentations, publications, and/or guidance documents.
  • Explain reputed company concepts, reputed company, and/or policies effectively to individuals and/or groups.
  • Engage with the reputed company audience and tailor evidence-based recommendations and/or health policy information to their needs with minimal supervision.
  • Conduct user reputed company and education and provide consultation and technical assistance to acute care provider groups, quality improvement organizations, and health departments in order to support their HAI prevention, surveillance, and response activities, and to meet NHSN data quality needs.
  • Communicate with internal and client project team members. Work to influence team members regarding solution design, process, and/or approaches.

Benefits

  • Pay Range: $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
  • The reputed company pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
  • Additional factors considered in extending an offer include responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
