What You’ll Do – Core Responsibilities

As a Member Services Representative, you will be responsible for a broad spectrum of financial processing and member‑service tasks. Your day‑to‑day duties will include:

  • Performing daily data entry and reconciliation of transactions to ensure ledger accuracy.
  • Coordinating return items with members, vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other financial institutions.
  • Assisting multiple departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and general ledger adjustments.
  • Managing member cases and inquiries assigned through the ticketing system, providing timely and courteous resolutions.
  • Ensuring strict compliance with NACHA rules, Federal banking regulations, and the Bank Secrecy Act.
  • Processing loan payments, multi‑account deposits, credit card statements, and a variety of examinations (IRA, bankruptcy, payoff).
  • Reviewing, approving, and posting Remote Deposit Capture, Mobile, ATM, and other image‑based transactions.
  • Logging, analyzing, and posting significant GL account changes or reversals.
  • Handling stop‑pay requests and check batch processing.
  • Completing daily balancing and department close procedures.
  • Gathering information from members to ensure accurate and timely processing of domestic and international ACH transfers.
  • Researching and validating incoming and outgoing ACH transfer data, and communicating with members to execute transfers.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and security of all member data in accordance with applicable regulations.
  • Processing overdue returns, receipt issuance, foreign collections, and prison fees as required.

Minimum Qualifications – Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong analytical abilities and comfort performing numerical calculations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work extended hours when business needs demand.

Preferred Qualifications – Education & Experience

  • Prior experience in a customer‑service or member‑service role, preferably within a banking or credit‑union environment.
  • Familiarity with banking platforms such as Episys or Symitar, and experience processing wire transfers.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ACH processing, loan servicing, and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) in a professional setting.

Compensation, Perks & Benefits
