Key Responsibilities – Your Day‑to‑Day Impact

As a Customer Service Agent at arenaflex, you will be the friendly face that greets travelers and the reliable partner that ensures smooth airport operations. Your core duties include:

  • Passenger Check‑In & Baggage Handling: Accurately process ticketing transactions, verify travel documents, and manage luggage at ticket counters and gate areas.
  • Customer Issue Resolution: Listen attentively to passenger concerns, troubleshoot ticketing or baggage problems, and provide clear, compassionate solutions.
  • Information Dissemination: Respond to inquiries about flight schedules, fares, gate changes, and airport services with confidence and accuracy.
  • Public Announcements: Make timely and courteous announcements over the public address system regarding boarding, delays, and other flight activities.
  • Coordination & Communication: Relay critical flight movement messages between gate agents, ground handling crews, flight crews, and airport vendors to maintain operational flow.
  • Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, conduct routine equipment checks, and adhere to airport security requirements, including background screenings.
  • Physical Support Tasks: Safely lift and maneuver luggage up to 70 pounds, assist with aircraft loading procedures, and perform other physically demanding duties as needed.
  • Shift Flexibility: Work a rotating schedule that may include nights, weekends, holidays, and peak travel periods to ensure continuous service coverage.

Essential Qualifications – What You Bring to the Table

  • Communication Excellence: Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling you to interact professionally with passengers, teammates, and airport leadership.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using computer reservation systems, ticketing platforms, and basic office software.
  • Education & Experience: Minimum high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience. Prior experience in customer service, hospitality, or aviation is a plus.
  • Age & Legal Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver’s license with a clean record (required for certain airport locations).
  • Security Clearance: Ability to pass a drug screen and obtain airport security clearance, which includes a comprehensive background check covering employment, criminal history, and residence for the past ten years.
  • Health & Safety: Ability to lift up to 70 pounds regularly, stand for extended periods, and work safely around jet engines and airport machinery.
  • Vaccination Requirement: For candidates applying to locations such as San Francisco (SFO), proof of full COVID‑19 vaccination with a CDC‑approved vaccine is mandatory.
