HLZAE, a subsidiary of Milrose Consultants, is seeking a Project Associate – MEP Engineer to support restoration and building systems projects. The role involves hands-on experience in field inspections, technical analysis, and construction documentation while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Support MEP and building restoration projects across all phases under supervision
  • Assist with site inspections, field measurements, and condition assessments (including elevated and confined spaces)
  • Prepare and update technical documents: drawings, reports, specifications, and field notes
  • Create and modify AutoCAD drawings and sketches
  • Participate in client, contractor, and consultant meetings
  • Track project documentation, photos, and records
  • Help monitor construction progress and identify issues or discrepancies
  • Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering (or related field)
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively
  • Exposure to building systems, construction, or façade/restoration work
  • Familiarity with NYC building codes or inspections
  • OSHA certifications or willingness to obtain scaffold safety certifications
