Core Responsibilities – What You’ll Do Every Day

As an Air Customer Service Agent at arenaflex, you will be the frontline liaison between our guests, travel agents, airlines, and internal teams. Your day‑to‑day activities will include:

  • Answering inbound phone calls and chat messages related to air travel issues, ensuring each interaction is handled with empathy and efficiency.
  • Responding to guest emails and voicemails, accurately relaying information to the appropriate departments.
  • Amending major schedule changes, processing ticketing activities such as issuance, refunds, exchanges, and re‑pricing.
  • Identifying and correcting incomplete Passenger Name Records (PNR) caused by missing TSA data or absent airfares.
  • Realigning pricing within PNRs to capture additional revenue before final payment processing.
  • Certifying all air tickets issued by updating the ticket‑match exception report and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Assigning ancillary services (e.g., meal preferences, seat upgrades) to guests upon request.
  • Coordinating entertainment, crew executive travel, VIP requests, and communicating updates to port agents, hotels, and ground transportation partners.
  • Researching and validating air schedules booked for crew members, ensuring adherence to budget constraints.
  • Processing last‑minute crew changes and providing flight re‑accommodation (next‑port protection) when necessary.
  • Maintaining clear, concise communication with customers, co‑workers, and management to minimize errors and enhance satisfaction.
  • Upholding arenaflex’s core values through consistent, professional behavior and a commitment to integrity.
  • Performing any additional duties assigned by leadership that fall within the scope of the role.

Essential Qualifications – What We’re Looking For

  • Travel & Hospitality Experience: Prior experience in a high‑volume call center, preferably within the travel, cruise, or hospitality sectors.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong command of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; familiarity with the Sabre airline reservation system (booking creation, ticketing, exchanges, pricing, routing, and queue processing).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with a talent for translating complex travel information into clear, friendly language.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding phone and chat support, resolve escalations, and maintain high satisfaction scores.
  • Legal Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. arenaflex does not sponsor employment visas.
  • Remote‑Ready Setup: Reliable high‑speed internet, a quiet workspace, and a headset suitable for professional call handling.

Preferred Qualifications – Nice‑to‑Have Extras

  • Previous experience with airline ticketing and crew travel coordination.
  • Certification or coursework in travel industry standards (e.g., IATA, ATPCO).
  • Multilingual abilities, especially in Spanish or French, to support a diverse guest base.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms and ticketing dashboards beyond Sabre.
