Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily transaction processing, including ACH, wire transfers, direct deposits, and loan payments.
  • Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate general ledger entries to ensure financial integrity.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, the Federal Reserve, and other financial institutions to resolve transaction issues.
  • Assist multiple departments with fraud investigations, member inquiries, and accounting ledger adjustments.
  • Manage member cases and service tickets, providing timely and courteous resolutions.
  • Adhere to NACHA rules, Federal banking regulations, and internal compliance policies throughout all processing activities.
  • Process a variety of financial products, including mortgage payments, multi‑account deposits, credit card bills, IRAs, and loan payoff transactions.
  • Review, approve, and audit Remote Deposit Capture, Mobile Deposit, ATM, and other image‑enabled services.
  • Log and analyze significant GL changes, account adjustments, and reversal entries.
  • Execute stop payments, check batching, and end‑of‑day balancing procedures.
  • Gather and verify information from members to ensure accurate and timely processing of domestic and international fund transfers.
  • Research and confirm inbound and outbound transfer details, communicating clearly with members on transfer status.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and security of member data, complying with the Bank Secrecy Act and related regulations.
  • Support overdue return processing, receipt issuance, foreign collections, and related fee assessments.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; additional education or certifications in finance is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite—particularly Excel and Word—for data analysis and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work extended hours when business needs demand, while maintaining high quality output.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a proven track record of handling member inquiries professionally.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills; ability to perform accurate calculations quickly.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast‑paced environment, juggling multiple priorities without sacrificing attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills—both written and verbal—to interact with members, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Self‑motivation and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Commitment to upholding compliance standards, including successful completion of arenaflex and Credit Union pre‑employment compliance exams.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Prior experience in a customer service or member service role within a banking or credit union environment.
  • Familiarity with banking platforms such as Episys, Symitar, or similar core processing systems.
  • Experience handling ACH, wire, and other electronic funds transfer processes.
  • Knowledge of NACHA regulations, Federal Reserve procedures, and the Bank Secrecy Act.
  • Exposure to digital banking tools, including Remote Deposit Capture, mobile banking, and ATM transaction processing.
