  • Support early-stage capture activities, including opportunity qualification, competitive research, win-theme development, and voice-of-customer documentation.
  • Assist in translating military operational requirements into industry-facing business development inputs, including capability alignment, mission need statements, and potential solution themes.
  • Participate in internal business development meetings, capture discussions, pipeline reviews, and strategy sessions to gain exposure to KBR’s pursuit lifecycle.
  • Support development of white paper inputs, request for information responses, market intelligence summaries, and other pre-proposal materials as appropriate.

  • Experience with joint, coalition, multinational, or interagency coordination.
  • Familiarity with INDOPACOM commands, Army Pacific operations, sustainment requirements, exercises, or regional posture initiatives.
  • Exposure to budget planning, resource management, operational readiness, or enterprise-level program coordination.
  • Lean Six Sigma, project management, or related process improvement training.

KBR Benefits Through this SkillBridge internship, the selected intern will gain direct exposure to KBR’s Indo-Pacific business development environment and learn how military operational experience translates into private-sector defense growth, capture, and account management. The intern will receive mentorship from the Senior Account Manager, INDOPACOM, participate in real business development workflows, and build practical experience in customer engagement planning, pipeline development, pursuit shaping, capture strategy, and executive communication. This opportunity is designed to help the intern strengthen their post-military resume with relevant private-sector experience, including exposure to major defense pursuits, customer and stakeholder mapping, market intelligence, proposal support, and strategic growth planning.
