Why This Role Is Unique

Are you a recent graduate or a self‑taught enthusiast eager to dive into the world of data science without years of prior experience? arenaflex is offering a rare opportunity for motivated individuals to join a fast‑growing analytics group as a Data Scientist – Advanced Data Entry & Customer Support Analytics. This role blends data entry, data engineering, and analytical storytelling, giving you exposure to the full data lifecycle—from raw ingestion to strategic recommendation—while working alongside seasoned scientists, software engineers, and business leaders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including data scientists, software engineers, and product managers—to map and document end‑to‑end business processes.
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable, automated data pipelines that ingest, clean, transform, and store large volumes of customer support and transaction data.
  • Develop and execute exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover patterns, anomalies, and opportunities within customer interaction logs, phone transcripts, and support tickets.
  • Implement statistical models and machine‑learning algorithms to predict customer satisfaction, churn risk, and service‑level performance.
  • Create clear, visual dashboards and reports that translate complex analytical findings into actionable insights for non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Continuously monitor data quality, performance metrics, and system health, proactively identifying and resolving bottlene‑locks.
  • Automate repetitive data‑entry tasks using scripting languages and robotic process automation (RPA) tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual error.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends in data warehousing, big‑data technologies, and AI/ML best practices, recommending innovative solutions to enhance arenaflex’s analytics capabilities.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies—sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, retrospectives—to ensure alignment with product roadmaps and delivery timelines.
  • Mentor junior team members and share knowledge through documentation, workshops, and internal tech talks.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Science, Business Analytics, Economics, or Engineering.
  • Technical Skills: Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with data‑query languages (e.g., SQL) and at least one programming language for data manipulation (e.g., Python, R, SAS, MATLAB).
  • Analytical Experience: Demonstrated ability to apply statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, and predictive analytics to solve real‑world business problems.
  • Machine Learning Exposure: Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and tools (e.g., scikit‑learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) and an understanding of model evaluation metrics.
  • Data Engineering Acumen: Experience designing and automating data pipelines, including ETL processes, data validation, and workflow orchestration.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities, capable of presenting technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Problem‑Solving Mindset: Proactive attitude toward identifying inefficiencies and proposing data‑driven solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Computer Engineering).
  • Professional experience in a machine‑learning or data‑science role within a large technology organization.
  • Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and big‑data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Snowflake.
  • Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP) techniques for analyzing phone transcripts and support ticket text.
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines for model deployment.
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Data Literacy: Ability to interpret, clean, and transform raw data into structured formats suitable for analysis.
  • Statistical Rigor: Proficiency in hypothesis testing, regression analysis, time‑series forecasting, and experimental design.
  • Programming Proficiency: Strong command of Python (pandas, NumPy, SciPy) or R (tidyverse, caret) for data manipulation and modeling.
