Position Overview
arenaflex is seeking a seasoned Senior Counsel to join its Digital Products & Data Analytics group. This is a fully remote, work‑from‑home opportunity based in California, offering a competitive hourly rate of $35‑$40. The role will serve as a strategic legal advisor across multiple functional teams, guiding the development, launch, and ongoing management of digital health products, data analytics platforms, and related services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide proactive, business‑focused legal counsel to senior leaders and cross‑functional teams on complex issues that intersect technology, product development, privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
- Lead the creation and negotiation of a variety of commercial agreements—including vendor contracts, data licensing deals, technology services agreements, and integration contracts—supporting arenaflex’s digital initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with arenaflex’s Digital Product, Data Analytics, Marketing, Security, and Compliance teams to ensure that new products and services are launched with a solid legal foundation.
- Develop and implement comprehensive privacy and data protection strategies that align with evolving state, federal, and international regulations.
- Draft, review, and manage internal policies, standard operating procedures, and governance frameworks related to digital product development and data analytics.
- Serve as the primary liaison with external counsel, overseeing their work, managing budgets, and ensuring alignment with arenaflex’s business objectives.
- Stay abreast of emerging legal trends in health‑care technology, fintech, and data privacy, translating insights into actionable guidance for the business.
- Assist in risk assessment and mitigation, providing clear recommendations that balance innovation with legal risk.

Essential Qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (Illinois bar membership preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years post‑bar experience, with a blend of law‑firm and in‑house corporate practice, preferably within the health‑care, technology, or retail sectors.
- Demonstrated expertise in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements, especially those involving technology services, data licensing, and SaaS models.
