Accountant, Fixed Assets

The Accountant for Fixed Assets is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of fixed assets, compiling financial information, processing journal entries, and preparing reports for analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality internal and external customer service surrounding the Company values
  • Review, analyze and process all capital asset additions, disposals, transfers and depreciation
  • Prepare journal entries in accordance with Company policies and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Perform and document internal controls
  • Compile and analyze financial information with a high level of accuracy
  • Prepare monthly reporting to senior management team
  • Prepare supporting schedules for external audit
  • Assist with annual budget process
  • Develop process improvements to gain efficiencies
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Assist with audit
  • Capital reporting requests

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • One year of strong general accounting experience including fixed assets
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Interaction proficiency with peers, clients and management
  • Positive attitude and continuous improvement mentality
  • Keen problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong organizational skills. Ability to prioritize assignments according to timelines and importance of tasks
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work both independently and with others
  • Ability to operate in a fast moving, team-oriented, collaborative environment with tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in using MS Office Suite and Windows-based computer applications with advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Prior experience with fixed assets
  • Prior experience with Workday
  • Prior experience in the data center industry
