The Junior DevOps Engineer will develop and maintain software components and automation features for the Enterprise Workload Scheduler, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance platform efficiency and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain software components and automation features for the Enterprise Workload Scheduler
  • Create enhancements that improve platform efficiency, reliability, and operational visibility
  • Perform code reviews to ensure quality, security, and maintainability of solutions
  • Collaborate with engineers and operations teams to design and deliver scheduling solutions
  • Support troubleshooting and resolution of issues through code and system analysis

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 1+ years of software development experience writing, testing, and maintaining code
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, or similar) used in enterprise environments
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and participating in code reviews
  • Strong problem‑solving and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Experience with enterprise scheduling or workload automation tools (e.g., IBM Workload Scheduler or similar)
  • Exposure to automation frameworks or scripting used in DevOps or platform engineering environments
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices
