The Opportunity: Senior Data Architect, Voice of Customer Platform

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Architect to lead the transformation and innovation of our end-to-end Voice of Customer (VOC) methodology. This is a remote position offering a competitive hourly rate of $35 with the flexibility to work from anywhere while making a significant impact on arenaflex's data infrastructure and customer analytics capabilities.

In this role, you'll be instrumental in designing and implementing robust data architectures that support our comprehensive VOC system, which encompasses 40+ studies translated in over 10 languages and deployed across more than 20 countries. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams including product owners, subject matter experts, and technology stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that arenaflex's global customer experience initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic System Development: Collaborate with utility teams to define, frame, and capture business requirements for the VOC platform, ensuring alignment with arenaflex's overall data strategy and business objectives.
  • Data Architecture Innovation: Design and build robust data model architectures to support optimal data processing and standardized metric definitions across arenaflex's global VOC program.
  • Big Data Solutions: Develop and implement big data and batch/real-time analytical solutions using cutting-edge technologies including Hadoop, HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, Spark, and Python to deliver innovative insights for arenaflex's customer experience initiatives.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure data quality and accuracy through comprehensive testing at various levels and across diverse use cases, supporting arenaflex's commitment to reliable analytics.
  • Process Optimization: Proactively identify and automate manual tasks to improve quality and efficiency in data processing workflows, enhancing arenaflex's operational excellence.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide guidance to enhance capabilities and drive efficiency in computing programs utilizing arenaflex's big data ecosystem.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with partners from GSN and AET to prioritize, define, develop, and test data for various use cases as part of the VOC end-to-end process, ensuring alignment with arenaflex's global standards.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on development experience with Hive/Hadoop, PySpark, Python, and shell scripting languages
  • Proven experience in data-driven projects involving development release management and troubleshooting
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with relationship managers and product owners to understand functional requirements and translate them into technical deliverables
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies of delivery, where small increments of a product are introduced at regular intervals to business groups
  • Experience working with survey platforms and customer feedback systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to design innovative solutions to complex data challenges
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Qualtrics or similar survey platforms
  • Familiarity with Cornerstone or similar large data platforms
  • Experience in the financial services industry
  • Certifications in big data technologies (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud data certifications)
  • Experience with international data deployments across multiple regions and languages
  • Background in customer experience analytics or Voice of Customer systems
