About arenaflex – Innovating the Future of Data‑Driven Commerce

arenaflex is a global leader in e‑commerce and cloud services, empowering millions of customers worldwide with fast, reliable, and personalized shopping experiences. Our mission is to harness the power of data to create seamless, intelligent solutions that drive both customer satisfaction and business growth. As part of our expanding analytics team, we are looking for bright, motivated individuals who are eager to dive into real‑world data challenges, even if they are just starting their professional journey.

Why This Role Matters

In today’s hyper‑connected marketplace, data is the lifeblood of every decision. This entry‑level Data Scientist position blends data entry, customer support, and analytical rigor to help arenaflex refine its talent acquisition (TA) processes, improve operational efficiency, and deliver actionable insights to internal stakeholders. You will be at the forefront of building end‑to‑end data pipelines, automating repetitive workflows, and translating raw data into strategic recommendations that shape the future of our business.

Key Responsibilities – What You’ll Do Every Day

  • Data Acquisition & Cleansing: Source, ingest, and validate large volumes of structured and unstructured data from internal systems, external vendors, and public datasets.
  • Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable, automated data pipelines using Python, SQL, and modern orchestration tools to ensure data is ready for analysis.
  • Exploratory Analysis & Modeling: Conduct statistical analysis, develop predictive models, and apply machine‑learning techniques to solve business problems in talent acquisition and customer support.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with data scientists, software engineers, product managers, and business leaders to translate requirements into data solutions.
  • Reporting & Visualization: Create clear, compelling dashboards and reports (using Tableau, Power BI, or similar) that communicate findings to non‑technical audiences.
  • Process Automation: Identify repetitive manual tasks within the TA workflow and implement robotic process automation (RPA) to increase efficiency.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up‑to‑date with emerging trends in data warehousing, AI/ML, and analytics best practices; share knowledge with the team.
  • Customer Support Integration: Support internal customers by troubleshooting data‑related issues, providing timely assistance, and ensuring data integrity across platforms.

Essential Qualifications – What We Require

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Science, Business Analytics, Economics, or Engineering.
  • Technical Foundations: Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with SQL for data querying and Python for data manipulation (pandas, NumPy, etc.).
  • Statistical & Machine‑Learning Exposure: At least 3 years using tools such as R, SAS, MATLAB, or similar for statistical modeling, and familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., scikit‑learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Analytical Mindset: Proven ability to apply theoretical models to real‑world problems, interpret results, and make data‑driven recommendations.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication; ability to convey complex technical concepts to business audiences in a clear, concise manner.
  • Problem‑Solving Orientation: Demonstrated curiosity and initiative in identifying inefficiencies and proposing innovative solutions.

Preferred Qualifications – Nice‑to‑Have Extras

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in a quantitative field (Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, etc.).
  • Professional experience in a machine‑learning or data‑science role within a large technology organization.
  • Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data‑warehouse technologies (Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery).
  • Familiarity with RPA tools such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism.
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum development processes and version‑control systems (Git).

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Data Engineering: ETL design, data modeling, and pipeline automation.
  • Statistical Analysis: Hypothesis testing, regression, clustering, and time‑series forecasting.
  • Programming Proficiency: Python (pandas, scikit‑learn), SQL, and basic scripting in Bash or PowerShell.
  • Visualization: Ability to craft dashboards and visual stories using Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
  • Collaboration: Team player who thrives in cross‑functional environments and can influence without authority.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, remote setting while managing multiple priorities.
