Position Overview – Information Researcher (RWE) – Remote

arenaflex is seeking a highly motivated Information Researcher – Real‑World Evidence (RWE) to lead the creation of authentic, actionable evidence through innovative data analysis and scientific methodology. Reporting directly to the Chief of Clinical Information Science, you will be a pivotal member of the Clinical Research team, driving data‑centric solutions that answer critical business questions for pharmaceutical partners and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Extraction & Normalization: Mine raw data collections from internal sources and licensed platforms, transform and standardize patient‑level data, and prepare it for downstream analysis.
  • Collaborative Knowledge Transfer: Partner with arenaflex Clinical Research scientists to translate real‑world data (RWD) into meaningful insights that support drug development, health‑economic assessments, and market access strategies.
  • Data Lake Management: Clean, curate, and store data in a structured data lake, ensuring accessibility for future investigations and cross‑functional use.
  • Statistical & Quantitative Analysis: Conduct rigorous statistical analyses—including descriptive modeling, regression, classification trees, machine learning, time‑series analysis, and survival analysis—to uncover new insights about patient populations and treatment outcomes.
  • Methodology Development: Uphold best‑in‑class data, analysis, and reporting standards by applying advanced research methods and tools to solve scientific questions posed by pharmaceutical clients.
  • Study Design & Execution: Contribute to the planning and implementation of outcomes research studies, ensuring alignment with regulatory and scientific standards.
  • Quality Assurance: Deliver high‑quality, reproducible, and timely deliverables, including dashboards, analytical reports, and visualizations for internal and external audiences.
  • Vendor & Data Source Evaluation: Conduct effort estimations for new real‑world data sources, perform data quality assessments, and provide recommendations that inform strategic decisions.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Epidemiology, or related field).
  • Demonstrated experience designing and executing robust, reproducible statistical analyses focused on disease epidemiology and observational research using health‑care data.
  • Strong knowledge of standard statistical techniques, including regression models, clustering, decision trees, machine learning, time‑series, and survival analysis.
  • Hands‑on experience handling large, multi‑source datasets and ensuring data integrity and privacy compliance.
  • Proficiency with at least one business intelligence or data‑visualization tool such as Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Spotfire, or similar platforms.
  • Experience working with protected health information (PHI) and adhering to HIPAA and other data‑privacy regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (Ph.D. or Master’s) in Biostatistics, Data Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • Expertise in electronic medical records (EMR) systems, health‑IT, disease registries, and claims data.

  • Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory compliance frameworks for real‑world evidence studies (e.g., ISO, MDD/MDR, CFR).
  • Experience designing data collection strategies for emerging data sources, including wearable devices, digital health platforms, and cloud‑based repositories.
  • Proficiency in advanced analytical approaches such as Bayesian modeling, causal inference, longitudinal data analysis, and AI‑driven predictive modeling.
