Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Customer Service and Sales Representative, you will be the first point of contact for individuals seeking clarity, coverage, and confidence in their healthcare insurance options. Your day‑to‑day duties will evolve as you progress from a customer‑service specialist to a fully licensed insurance agent.

  • Deliver empathetic, solution‑focused service to inbound and outbound callers, ensuring each interaction ends with a satisfied customer.
  • Explain complex insurance products in plain language, helping customers understand coverage details, benefits, and cost implications.
  • Guide prospects through the enrollment process, from initial inquiry to policy activation, while adhering to all regulatory and compliance standards.
  • Identify cross‑sell and upsell opportunities by listening for additional needs and recommending complementary products.
  • Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions in arenaflex’s CRM system, documenting inquiries, resolutions, and follow‑up actions.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions, role‑plays, and performance coaching to continuously sharpen product knowledge and sales techniques.
  • Stay current on industry trends, state regulations, and arenaflex’s evolving product portfolio to provide the most relevant advice.
  • Collaborate with team leads, compliance officers, and peer agents to share best practices and support collective success.

We are looking for motivated individuals who bring a blend of customer‑service passion and sales drive. The following qualifications are required to succeed in this role:

  • Minimum six (6) months of proven sales experience, preferably in a call‑center or remote environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications are a plus.
  • Reliable high‑speed internet connection (minimum 15 Mbps download) and a quiet, professional home workspace.
  • Strong computer literacy, including proficiency with Windows/macOS, web browsers, and CRM platforms.
  • Demonstrated integrity and ability to adhere to HIPAA and other privacy regulations when handling sensitive health information.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, active listening, and a genuine desire to help others.
  • Self‑discipline, tenacity, and a growth mindset to successfully complete licensing coursework and pass the state exam.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Assets

  • Previous experience in health insurance, benefits administration, or related financial services.
  • College coursework in business, finance, or health administration.
  • Familiarity with insurance terminology such as PPO, HMO, deductible, copayment, and out‑of‑pocket maximum.
  • Multilingual abilities to serve diverse customer populations.
  • Experience with remote collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Slack).

Skills & Competencies for Success

  • Customer‑Centric Mindset: Ability to put the customer’s needs first and turn challenges into opportunities for delight.
  • Analytical Thinking: Quickly assess a customer’s situation, identify gaps, and recommend the most appropriate insurance solutions.
  • Persuasive Communication: Articulate product benefits clearly, handle objections, and close sales with confidence.
  • Time Management: Balance multiple calls, follow‑ups, and training activities while meeting performance metrics.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a fast‑changing environment, embracing new tools, policies, and market shifts.
  • Team Collaboration: Contribute to a supportive team culture, sharing insights and learning from peers.
