Position Overview

arenaflex is currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Supply Chain Systems Analyst to join our Somerset, USA operations team on a full-time, on-site basis. In this role, you will serve as a key technical liaison responsible for the support, enhancement, and ongoing maintenance of our Distribution Center Management System (DCMS), while also acting as the primary on-site contact between our mainframe operations, application development teams, network/telecom departments, and broader technology office.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced systems professional with a strong background in IT operations, warehouse management systems (WMS), and supply chain technology to step into a high-visibility role with direct influence over mission-critical infrastructure. Please note: this is a fully on-site position based in Somerset, USA, and is not a remote or work-from-home opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Supply Chain Systems Analyst at arenaflex, your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • System Support and Maintenance: Provide comprehensive support, troubleshooting, and modification services for the Distribution Center Management System (DCMS), ensuring high availability and performance for end users across the facility.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the primary on-site liaison between the mainframe operations team, application development departments, network and telecom teams, and the broader Technology Office, facilitating clear communication and efficient issue resolution.
  • Infrastructure Installation and Troubleshooting: Coordinate, troubleshoot, and install physical infrastructure that supports the distribution center, working closely with network and telecom specialists as needed.
  • Change Request Management: Oversee and process all move, add, and change (MAC) requests related to system configurations, ensuring accurate documentation and timely execution.
  • Vendor and MHE Liaison: Serve as the point of contact for Material Handling Equipment (MHE) vendors, particularly in matters related to data handling and integration.
  • Smart Device Support: Work with all intelligent warehouse devices, including Sortation Control Systems, RF (radio frequency) devices, and Neoware Terminals, ensuring they remain operational and properly configured.
  • Data Backup and Recovery: Coordinate all data backup operations and manage data recovery procedures to protect business continuity and information integrity.
  • Issue Resolution Coordination: Act as a central contact between the warehouse operations office, the WMS vendor, and the MIS (Management Information Systems) Department for escalated issue resolution.
  • Hardware Support: Maintain and support all data processing hardware, including printers, terminals, and peripheral devices.
  • LAN Configuration Support: Provide hands-on support for Local Area Network (LAN) configuration tasks as needed.
  • Software Release Implementation: Coordinate and implement all future software releases, patches, and upgrades across supported systems.
  • Inventory Tracking: Coordinate inventory tracking for in-stock supplies, including printer ribbons, strips, forms, and other consumables, and report usage metrics to the MIS Department.
  • Team Supervision: Oversee and provide guidance to nonexempt staff, ensuring team productivity, training, and adherence to operational standards.
  • Access Security Management: Maintain all control tables within the WMS, including user access security settings and permission structures.
  • System Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor the performance of the WMS and related applications to ensure readiness, availability, and reliability for all end users.
  • Peripheral Management: Manage peripheral connections to the WMS, including Neoware Terminals, RF devices, and printers.
  • Compliance Reporting: Manage and monitor end-user access rights, and report findings to the SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) Compliance Office on a quarterly basis.
  • Reporting Tool Development: Develop custom reporting tools and dashboards to provide stakeholders with improved visibility into WMS performance and operational metrics, using platforms such as Crystal Reports or Cognos Report Studio.

Required Qualifications

To be considered for the Senior Supply Chain Systems Analyst role at arenaflex, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • IT Experience: A minimum of 2+ years of hands-on IT experience, including working with Windows, Unix, SQL Server, Oracle, and similar platforms.
  • Distribution or Logistics Experience: 2+ years of professional experience in a distribution, warehouse, or delivery environment is strongly preferred.
  • Software Proficiency: 2+ years of demonstrated experience using SQL, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Project.
  • On-Site Availability: Must be local to or willing to relocate to the Somerset, USA area. This is not a remote position.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates who bring the following additional experience and qualities will be given special consideration:

  • Formal project management experience, ideally with exposure to IT or supply chain implementations.
  • A Bachelor's degree with a specific concentration in Information Technology.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with a collaborative mindset.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced distribution center or large-scale warehouse environment.
  • Familiarity with SOX compliance requirements and access control management.
  • Experience developing reports using Crystal Reports or Cognos Report Studio.

Compensation, Schedule, and Benefits

  • Employment Type: Full-Time
  • Work Schedule: 8 hours per day, standard business hours with occasional flexibility based on operational needs.
