Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Data Scientist at arenaflex, you will take ownership of a wide range of analytical, technical, and strategic initiatives. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Building Robust Analytical Infrastructure: Design, develop, and deploy robust, scalable, and automated software tools that enable complex analyses of real-time manufacturing and product data across the NPI portfolio.
  • Answering Complex Business Questions: Investigate and answer complex questions about the impact of engineering changes on manufacturing operations, providing data-driven recommendations that influence product and process decisions.
  • Cross-Platform Data Integration: Bridge data from disparate storage systems and sources, integrating engineering, manufacturing, supplier, and IT datasets into unified analytical views.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, supplier quality, and IT teams to understand business needs, refine analytical approaches, and deliver solutions that drive measurable impact.
  • Data Pipeline Automation: Contribute to the automation, standardization, and continuous improvement of arenaflex's data pipelines, ensuring that data flows efficiently and reliably from source to insight.
  • Visualization and Storytelling: Build compelling visualizations and dashboards that communicate complex findings clearly and persuasively to technical and non-technical audiences alike.
  • Change Coordination Analysis: Analyze and determine optimal solutions for change coordination with manufacturing, other arenaflex production facilities, and external suppliers, including Engineering Bill of Materials (EBOM), Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM), and related structures.
  • Thought Leadership: Provide thought leadership in analytics, statistical modeling, and data science best practices, elevating the team's capabilities and outcomes through mentorship and collaboration.
  • Process Optimization: Develop and program the execution of business processes and solutions that are optimized for speed, accuracy, cost efficiency, capacity, and scalability.
  • Decision Support Systems: Build decision support systems, analytical tools, and predictive models that are scalable, reproducible, and well-documented to assist with capacity planning, growth modeling, and strategic decision making across arenaflex.
  • Problem Refinement and Scope Definition: Partner with stakeholders to take ambiguous problem statements, refine the scope of analysis, define success metrics, and use the results to drive informed business decisions.
  • Communication of Findings: Summarize and clearly communicate data analysis hypotheses, methodologies, and results to audiences ranging from individual contributors to senior leadership.
  • Production-Grade Data Pipelines: Build data pipelines that transition ad-hoc analyses into production-grade dashboards that engineers and operators can rely on as part of their daily workflow.
  • Self-Service Analytics Enablement: Design and implement metrics, applications, and tools that empower engineers and operators to self-serve their own data insights, reducing bottlenecks and accelerating decision cycles.
  • Engineering Partnership: Collaborate with software and data engineers to drive adoption of your applications and tools, ensuring they are integrated into the broader arenaflex technology ecosystem.
  • High-Quality Code: Write clean, well-tested, and well-documented code that can be maintained, extended, and improved by other engineers and data scientists on the team.
  • Production Support: Operate, monitor, and support your production applications, responding to incidents and continuously improving reliability and performance.
  • Technology Scouting: Stay current on relevant technologies, frameworks, and methodologies, and propose new approaches that the team could adopt to maintain a competitive analytical edge.
  • Pattern Recognition and Innovation: Identify trends, design novel approaches to data analysis, and set innovative targets to drive improvements in both existing and future products at arenaflex.
