Role Overview

The Director, Decentralized Clinical Trials – Real‑World Evidence (RWE) & Hybrid Study Management is a senior leadership position responsible for shaping and executing arenaflex’s DCT strategy. Reporting directly to the Head of Decentralized Clinical Operations, you will lead cross‑functional teams, drive end‑to‑end study delivery, and ensure that every trial meets the highest standards of quality, compliance, and patient satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Execution

• Develop and implement comprehensive DCT roadmaps that align with arenaflex’s business objectives and RWE initiatives.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of decentralized and hybrid studies, ensuring on‑time, on‑budget, and high‑quality delivery.
• Collaborate with the Head of Decentralized Clinical Operations to prioritize study portfolios, allocate resources, and define success metrics.

Cross‑Functional Team Leadership

• Lead multidisciplinary teams—including clinical operations, data management, regulatory affairs, and technology—through all phases of study design, operationalization, and close‑out.
• Mentor, coach, and develop DCT staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high performance.
• Partner with Product and Innovation teams to ensure that study deliverables meet patient needs and market expectations.

Vendor & Partner Management

• Identify, select, and manage external DCT vendors, negotiating contracts and overseeing the UAT (User Acceptance Testing) process.
• Develop business requirements, service level agreements, and performance dashboards for all vendor relationships.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives with vendors to enhance efficiency, data integrity, and patient engagement.

Regulatory & Compliance Oversight

• Ensure all study activities comply with ICH GCP, US CFR, HIPAA, and other applicable regulations.
• Maintain and update SOPs, study protocols, informed consent forms (ICFs), statistical analysis plans (SAPs), and data management plans (DMPs) in line with evolving standards.
• Lead internal audits and support external regulatory inspections, addressing findings promptly and proactively.

Business Development & Financial Stewardship

• Contribute to proposal development, budgeting, and bid defense processes for new DCT opportunities.
• Monitor study financials, track variances, and implement corrective actions to protect profitability.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, Health Informatics, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
• Minimum 8 years of experience in clinical research, with at least 3 years leading decentralized or hybrid trial projects.
• Demonstrated success managing multi‑million‑dollar study budgets and delivering complex protocols on schedule.
• In‑depth knowledge of DCT vendor ecosystems, technology platforms, and patient‑centric recruitment strategies.
• Strong familiarity with ICH GCP, US CFR, HIPAA, and other regulatory frameworks governing clinical trials.
• Proven ability to influence and lead both internal and external stakeholders across geographic regions.
