Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Staffing & Planning: Partner with the Sales and Customer Engineering (CE) leadership to forecast staffing needs, develop hiring plans, and lead interview panels that attract top talent.
  • Team Enablement: Conduct regular skill‑gap analyses, design training programs, and mentor engineers to ensure the CE team is equipped to address complex customer challenges.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Business Development, Product Management, Solution Architecture, and Customer Success to align technical solutions with business objectives.
  • Pipeline Management: Oversee the CE team’s pipeline, identify gaps in coverage, and implement corrective actions to meet quarterly and annual revenue goals.
  • Diversity & Inclusion Initiatives: Partner with the arenaflex Talent Outreach program to source diverse candidates, foster an inclusive culture, and drive equitable hiring practices.
  • Customer Advocacy: Serve as a senior technical advisor for strategic accounts, guiding customers through architecture reviews, proof‑of‑concepts, and migration strategies.
  • Product Feedback Loop: Relay customer insights and market trends to Product Management, influencing roadmap decisions and feature prioritization.
  • Operational Excellence: Develop and refine processes for opportunity qualification, solution design, and post‑sale handoff to ensure seamless customer experiences.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a senior pre‑sales or solutions engineer in a SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS environment, preferably within a cloud‑focused organization.
  • Proven track record of leading technical sales cycles, including discovery, architecture design, and closing complex enterprise deals.
  • Strong understanding of cloud concepts such as virtualization, containerization, micro‑services, and hybrid cloud architectures.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage high‑performing technical teams, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value for C‑level executives.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours across multiple time zones to support global customers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or advanced degree in a technical field, showcasing a blend of business acumen and technical expertise.
  • Experience in a pre‑sales leadership role, such as Pre‑Sales Manager, Solutions Architect Lead, or Field Engineer Manager.
  • Deep knowledge of public cloud platforms, including but not limited to arenaflex Cloud, and familiarity with industry standards like ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR.
  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Architect (rebranded as arenaflex Cloud Professional Architect), or Microsoft Azure Solutions Expert.
  • History of driving diversity hiring initiatives and mentoring underrepresented talent in technical roles.
