Why This Role Matters

In today’s data‑driven economy, the quality of the data that fuels AI models and business intelligence platforms can make or break strategic decisions. As a Data Entry Operator & Data Quality Specialist at arenaflex, you will be the guardian of that data, ensuring every record, label, and annotation meets rigorous standards. Your work will directly influence the performance of AI systems, the credibility of analytics reports, and the overall efficiency of our data pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Annotation & Labeling: Accurately categorize, tag, and annotate diverse data sets (text, image, audio, and video) according to detailed project guidelines.
  • AI Result Validation: Compare AI‑generated outputs with ground‑truth data, identify mismatches, and document discrepancies for model refinement.
  • Data Entry & Maintenance: Input, update, and cleanse data records in proprietary databases and cloud‑based platforms, ensuring consistency across all fields.
  • Quality Assurance Review: Conduct systematic checks for completeness, correctness, and conformity to established data standards.
  • Process Documentation: Record validation findings, create audit trails, and contribute to continuous‑improvement documentation.
  • Collaboration & Feedback: Work closely with data engineers, AI researchers, and project managers to resolve data‑related issues and suggest workflow enhancements.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Generate concise reports on data quality metrics, error rates, and turnaround times; assist senior analysts with trend analysis.
  • Deadline Management: Prioritize tasks to meet strict project timelines while maintaining high accuracy levels.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in data management, information systems, or a related field is a strong plus.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of hands‑on experience in data labeling, validation, or entry roles, preferably within AI or analytics environments.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a proven ability to spot inconsistencies in large, complex data sets.
  • Proficiency with common data‑entry software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets) and familiarity with annotation tools such as Labelbox, Prodigy, or custom arenaflex platforms.
  • Typing speed of at least 60 WPM with 98 % accuracy or higher.
  • Strong analytical mindset and problem‑solving skills to diagnose data anomalies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Effective written and verbal communication in English; ability to convey technical findings clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Self‑motivated work ethic combined with a collaborative spirit, capable of thriving both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Library Science, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with database management systems (SQL, NoSQL) and basic query writing.
  • Familiarity with data quality frameworks such as ISO 8000, DQAF, or industry‑specific standards.
  • Exposure to basic data analysis techniques, including descriptive statistics and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and best practices for handling sensitive information.
  • Prior involvement in AI/ML project lifecycles, especially in training data preparation or model evaluation phases.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Precision & Accuracy: Ability to maintain a meticulous approach to data handling, ensuring every entry meets exacting standards.
  • Organizational Agility: Efficiently manage multiple data streams, prioritize tasks, and adapt to shifting project demands.
  • Technical Literacy: Comfortable navigating new software, learning annotation interfaces quickly, and troubleshooting minor technical issues.
  • Communication: Clear articulation of data quality concerns, constructive feedback to peers, and concise reporting to leadership.
