Overview

The Business Rules & Project Coordinator is a high-ownership, cross-functional role. This person translates business requirements into documented rules, tracking change requests through their full lifecycle, validating that changes behave as intended, and keeping the right stakeholders informed and aligned throughout.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clear, current, and organized inventory of brightscrip business rules.
  • Document business rule changes in plain language that both technical and non-technical stakeholders can understand and reference.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand proposed rule changes, capture requirements, and flag potential downstream impacts before changes are implemented.
  • Serve as a reliable source of truth on what the current rules are, what changed, when, and why.
  • Maintain clear process documentation for the business rules change lifecycle – intake, review, approval, implementation, QA, deployment, and post-deployment.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency or consistency of how changes are managed and propose improvements to the team.
  • Track all business rule changes, configuration updates, and operational projects through the company ticketing system – from initial request through development, QA, and deployment.
  • Own the ticket queue: triage new requests, assign appropriate priority, follow up on blockers, and escalate when timelines are at risk.
  • Maintain project status visibility across stakeholders – keeping internal stakeholders aligned on what is in flight, what is pending, and what is complete.
  • Support change management communications: draft update summaries, track approvals, and ensure impacted teams are informed of upcoming changes before they go live.
  • Execute quality assurance testing on business rule changes prior to deployment – validating that the implemented logic matches the documented requirement and produces the expected output.
  • Build and maintain test cases and validation scripts for common rule change scenarios.
  • Identify and clearly document defects or discrepancies between expected and actual behavior; communicate findings to engineering in a structured, reproducible format.
  • Participate in post-deployment monitoring to confirm that changes are performing as intended in production.
  • Support the compilation of content related to business rules for Quarterly Business Reviews, working from pre-built templates.
  • Support the implementation and onboarding of new clients – ensuring that business rules, configurations, and documentation are in place before go-live.
  • Document client-specific business rules and configurations at the time of onboarding – building the reference materials that will support the team in answering questions and resolving issues after go-live.

Pay: $67,644.70 - $81,464.59 per year Benefits:
