Senior Medicaid Policy Consultant (Contract) Remote | Medicaid Policy & Regulatory Consulting | Up to $135/hr A healthcare consulting organization supporting state Medicaid initiatives is seeking an experienced Medicaid Policy Consultant to support a Medicaid client engagement focused on policy modernization, program implementation, and regulatory compliance. This is a high-impact consulting opportunity for someone with deep Medicaid policy expertise who enjoys both strategic advisory work and hands-on implementation support. Position Details

  • Initial 6-month contract with potential extension
  • Remote opportunity
  • 35–40 hours per week
  • Compensation: $100–$135/hour
  • Approximately quarterly travel to Guam for ~2 weeks at a time

What You'll Do

  • Support Medicaid policy and program initiatives for a government healthcare client
  • Analyze federal and state Medicaid regulations and sub-regulatory guidance
  • Assist with the implementation of policy and operational changes
  • Facilitate client meetings and stakeholder discussions
  • Track project milestones, action items, and deliverables
  • Provide written analysis, reporting, and project communication support
  • Collaborate with consulting leadership and client teams

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of Medicaid policy experience within a state Medicaid agency or healthcare consulting environment
  • Strong knowledge of Medicaid waivers, eligibility policy, state plans, and reimbursement structures
  • Experience implementing regulatory or policy-driven program changes
  • Familiarity with CMS guidance and Medicaid payment authorities
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Public Policy, Public Health, Health Management, or related field
  • Comfortable working across Guam time zones and periodic travel requirements
  • Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred

  • Remote – Pacific Time Preferred
  • Experience working directly with CMS
  • Medicaid waiver and eligibility policy expertise
  • Consulting experience supporting public sector healthcare clients
