As a senior investment analyst, you will bring expertise and a wealth of experience in technical research to the Tandem team. Your primary responsibility is to drive research on technology layers in the blockchain ecosystem, developing new theses for investment and insights to complement our existing portfolio of projects. You will leverage internal departments, including research, product, and engineering, to guide investments in portfolio companies and position them for success. You will play a key role in identifying and building relationships with promising new projects, working together with colleagues to support these efforts.

• What you'll do:
• Identify opportunities for investment and strategic collaboration with teams building blockchain scaling solutions and fundamental technical infrastructure.
• Develop and curate insightful research on cutting-edge industry trends and emerging technologies, directly shaping and driving the evolution of our investment theses.
• Assist with identification and evaluation of projects and teams for Tandem investment, based on their technical merit, innovation, and alignment with our strategic objectives.
• Provide hands-on guidance and mentorship to partners, helping them refine their ideas, design robust protocols, and navigate technical challenges.
• Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge-sharing within Tandem and Offchain Labs, facilitating research partnerships and cross-team initiatives.
• What you’ll need:
• Degree in a technical field such as computer science, mathematics, or physics Extensive experience in protocol research, with a strong technical background in blockchain technologies.
• Proven experience contributing to successful projects or teams in the blockchain space, with a focus on innovation, research collaboration, and/or supporting the launch of crypto products to market.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of market trends and ecosystem dynamics in the blockchain industry.
