The role involves scheduling patient appointments, providing customer service, and ensuring accurate information management in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- High volume appointment scheduling and phone calls
- Schedule appointments following protocols
- Obtain, verify and input all information accurately into scheduling system
- Conduct insurance verification
- Provide customer service to patients
- Demonstrate courteous and professional behavior when dealing with patients
- Resolve patient inquiries or escalate for solution
- Routing calls to proper departments
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management
Skills
- High School Diploma/GED
- Strong organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Excellent typing skills and friendly telephone etiquette
- 6 months of clerical experience
- Experience working in physician practice
- Experience in a call center
- Experience with an appointment scheduling system
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Bilingual in Spanish
