CCS Certified Inpatient Auditor
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the CCS Certified Inpatient Auditor will assist in developing education and coding quality improvement initiatives, analyze coding and documentation issues, and perform second-level coding quality reviews to enhance compliance and reimbursement. Key responsibilities Analyze, review, and resolve coding and documentation issues related to reimbursement and compliance Perform focused second-level coding quality reviews to support coding specialists and document trends in coding inaccuracies Conduct research on policies and guidelines to aid in the development of internal coding policies and focused audit plans Required qualifications Associate's degree in Health Information Management or a related field, or equivalent work experience (minimum of 4 years of HIM inpatient coding experience) Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification is required; RHIT or RHIA credentials preferred Minimum of 5 years of inpatient coding experience required 1 year of education, training, and auditing experience preferred Must pass AHIMA-approved inpatient Coding Specialist IV assessment prior to hire Apply To This Job
