This role is ideal for a creative editorial professional who thrives in a dynamic studio environment and brings deep experience working across both internal and licensed publishing programs. The Editor will acquire, develop, and oversee titles based on beloved and iconic franchises, including PAW Patrol, SpongeBob SquarePants, Garfield, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The role requires close collaboration with external partners and internal stakeholders to ensure each project is brand-accurate, creatively ambitious, and executed to the highest standards. This position works cross-functionally with teams across film, television, franchise, animation, consumer products, and brand management to build a compelling, fan-approved publishing program for kids and families. A solid eye for creative storytelling and a solid knowledge of the childrens publishing space is highly valued.ResponsibilitiesEdit manuscripts for a robust list including storybooks, chapter books, beginning readers, coloring and activity, educational, non-fiction, and novelty titlesAcquire new projects and shape editorial strategy for both vertical and licensed titlesWork with art department to review sketches, final art, and cover designManage multiple projects and meet ambitious deadlinesNegotiate with authors, illustrators, and agentsOversee title P&LsCultivate, foster, and maintain relationships with licensees and internal stakeholdersInteract with TV, film, franchise, animation, consumer products, and brand teamsReview marketing and publicity materialsIn-house writingBasic QualificationsBachelors degreeMinimum 5 yrs+ publishing experience in publishingProficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelKnowledge with AdobeStrong P&L management skillsRemarkable attention to detail and grammarDomestic and international travel may be requiredAdditional QualificationsChildrens publishing is preferredPhotoshop and Illustrator preferredParamount Skydance Corporation (NASDAQ: PSKY) is a leading global media and entertainment company that creates premium content and experiences for audiences worldwide. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
