Professional development completion and Returning 2 years or more OnRamps student employee pay $14.50 Position effective August 16-December 31, 2026 Five positions open to The University of Texas at Austin Undergraduate students only. General Notes OnRamps prepares students and teachers for success in the classroom and beyond. We build partnerships across K12 and higher education to raise the bar on dynamic experiences that advance student success while lowering barriers to access and opportunity. Purpose Physics Course Support employees support course management in the OnRamps Physics courses. They provide sustained contributions to ongoing initiatives as well as just-in-time assistance with seasonal, unexpected, and urgent projects.

Responsibilities

Distribution of modules, activities, and other course resources in Quest Distribution of modules, activities, and other course resources in Canvas - Learning Management System under the direction of course staff Participation in course prototyping, user testing, and continuous improvement Clerical work directly concerned with record-keeping for classes Preparation of classroom materials for OnRamps - Physics Instructors and staff Non-instructional work in OnRamps courses or sections Other functions directly related to course management.

Required Qualifications

Current undergraduate student at The University of Texas at Austin majoring in Physics or related discipline Intermediate computer skills: MS Word, Excel (creating and using templates), PowerPoint Experience with Canvas LMS and Quest Recommendation from at least one professional or academic reference Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Interest in and knowledge of local, state, and national dual-enrollment and college-readiness initiatives Expert computer skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint Experience with JavaScript, Learning Catalytics, MS Outlook, and/or Smartsheet Recommendation from more than one professional or academic reference Salary $12.00 - $14.50 hourly Working Conditions May work around standard office conditions. Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation.
