PLC programmer/software technician (m/f/d)
Fischer Tiretech USA is seeking a motivated and experienced individual to fill a PLC programmer/software technician role. A qualified candidate will have a background in Industrial automation controls. This is a remote position that requires travel up to 70% of the time with some international travel being necessary. The duration of the travel assignments typically ranges from 1-6 continuous weeks. Training will be provided. An excellent benefits package is offered. Pay is commensurate with experience/education. Job Requirements:
- Demonstrate the ability to work cohesively with others and in a safe manner
- Passport or ability to obtain a passport is required
- Ability to work independently and unsupervised at remote client jobsites
- Ability to stay self-motivated while working independently on remote client jobsites
- Good written and oral communication skills are required
- Previous experience working in manufacturing environments is a must
- Software experience with Allen Bradley PLC’, Control Logix RS Logix 5000, Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View
- Ability to write and modify PLC ladder logic
- Safety PLC knowledge, including working with Allen Bradley GuardLogix
- HMI software knowledge
- Install, commission, and troubleshoot servo drives especially the Rockwell Kinetix family of drives
- Strong electrical skills needed for performing electrical work in the field
- Strong troubleshooting skills
Additional desired Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of vision systems including E+L, BST, Keyence
- Safety scanner set up
- Beckhoff PLC experience
