College Marketing Representative - LA

Promote The Orchard’s artists through digital and in-person marketing in your college town, gaining hands-on music industry experience. Your Role Here’s what you will be doing:

  • Promote 5-10 artists monthly and manage one-off promotions in your college town and campus
  • Build relationships with local influencers such as college radio, DJs, student organizations, and local media
  • Maintain a local social media presence using supplied digital assets and original content
  • Implement in-person marketing at record stores, lifestyle shops, and on campus
  • Research apps, forums, and networks targeting the 18-24 demographic for each artist
  • Attend local and campus events to promote artists and attend shows to distribute promotional materials and gather fan feedback
  • Submit detailed reports on marketing successes and initiatives for each campaign

About You The company is looking for:

  • Undergraduate student enrolled in a 4-year university in Los Angeles with at least 2 years remaining before graduation
  • Ability to manage own hours and be accountable for assigned work
  • Passion for music, understanding of peer music discovery and consumption, and interest in music business and marketing
  • Knowledge of social media marketing, current trends, and active content creation on TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook
  • Availability of 20 hours per week
  • Strong communication skills; well-written, well-spoken, and a team player
  • Transportation and residence within 30 minutes of Los Angeles
  • Flexible schedule for team calls and tour coverage
