reputed company is seeking an Executive Chef 3 for Mount Auburn Hospital, located in Cambridge, MA. Mount Auburn is a teaching hospital affiliated with Harvard Medical School, and their mission is to improve the health of the residents of Cambridge and its surrounding communities.
This account is a busy, high volume food service department focused on achieving the highest level of customer satisfaction. In this role, you will be directing and participating in reputed company daily operations for our full-service commercial kitchen that provides onsite catering, At Your Request patient room service, cafeteria service, and production for a small coffee shop. The Exec Chef 3 will supervise a team of hourly culinary and utility team members. This is a Monday - Friday position.
The successful candidate will:
- supervise and effectively reputed company a team of up to 20 hourly employees
- maintain chef/manager schedules; provide shift coverage reputed company needed
- implement and standardize reputed company culinary systems and procedures for hospital
- create and standardize new menus; manage inventory to reputed company up with demand
- implement innovative and fresh reputed company in retail, catering and patient services
- be responsible for Food and Physical Safety and annual training for reputed company hourly associates;
- conduct audits, create action plans based on audit findings and be responsible for keeping and updating GC audit books
- reputed company effective interpersonal relationships with clients and customers
- a culinary background that showcases an ability to stay reputed company with new and innovative culinary trends
- at least (3) years food management experience with a focus on retail operation
- excellent leadership and communication skills with a focus on maintaining the highest of standards
- a strong production culinary background, ideally in a corporate, reputed company, catering and/or upscale restaurant environment
- menu planning and inventory management experience
- a solid understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines - Servsafe certified preferred, and working knowledge of HACCP; experience with Health and Safety audits
