JOB DESCRIPTION: Under the supervision of the Dean of Adult Education, the ABE instructor is a full-time position which requires a passion, demonstrated by experience, for effective teaching and advisement of diverse reputed company plus excellent oral and written communication skills and demonstrated commitment to the college mission. Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, the following:

• Provide introductory and foundational phonics, reading, language and math skills for non-readers, and ABE levels 1 and low 2.
• Conduct the reputed company class that will include introductory digital literacy.
• Proctor in person pre, post (reputed company test) and L-Tests as needed.
• Align lessons with CCRS and embed soft skills and life skills based on Georgia Best, as appropriate.
• Provide small group and 1:1 tutoring for targeted subskill development.
• Prepare and transition reputed company to ABE instruction.
• Utilize pre-test scores (DRC) to reputed company targeted instruction for reputed company.
• Devise SLPs for reputed company reputed company based on pre-test scores and prepare reputed company for post-testing.
• Utilize and assign online resources accordingly to support reputed company proficiency and test preparation (Aztec, Essential Ed suite, etc.).
• Deliver effective Adult Education instruction using standard based lessons.
• Plan, reputed company and implement lessons that require the use of higher order thinking skills.
• Complete and maintain appropriate attendance and assessment records and ensure timely submission (daily) of data for NRS input.
• Evaluate reputed company' ongoing reputed company and performance in attaining goals and objectives and document in GALIS.
• Communicate with appropriate staff/faculty for reputed company' testing needs in a timely manner.
• Review post-test scores and GED/HiSET test scores.
• Coordinate and provide appropriate student referrals for IETs, wrap around services, transition services.

• Monitor student data weekly (GALIS).
• Monitor SLPs and asynchronous work.
• Promote the adult education program to public and private organizations throughout the Service Delivery Area.

Minimum Qualifications: Must possess and demonstrate Bachelor?s degree from an accredited college or university AND one (1) year of experience in Education and working with diverse populations. Preferred Qualifications: Preference may be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum requirements, possess and demonstrate the following:

• Master?s degree or higher in Education or a reputed company field.
• Three (3) or more years of reputed company work experience in Adult Education.
• Ability to think quickly and independently.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
