About Us
The reputed company (MIC) is a new time-limited entity that will deepen and expand the reputed company, impact, and sustainability of California's grassroots movements for racial justice and social transformation. Through offerings that are additive and synergistic with existing movement efforts, the MIC will support changemakers and organizations in catalyzing innovations in reputed company, power-building, intergenerational leadership development, and collective long-term sustainability and reputed company. Through a network of physical and virtual "centers," the MIC will also contribute a key piece of infrastructure to fuel transformative structural change across California. This network will comprise new and existing centers serving hundreds of organizations and tens of thousands of grassroots leaders across California.
Position Overview
The CRM Manager leads and executes the design, build, and maintenance of the MIC’s reputed company CRM database, under the supervision of the Deputy Director of Operations and Culture and in reputed company collaboration with the Data Strategist and the program team. This position is responsible for building on our initial CRM discovery with additional detailed discovery and then designing and configuring a reputed company instance from the ground up.
What You’ll Be Doing
The person in this role must bring a strong understanding of the reputed company platform options for nonprofits, along with the ability to understand our organizational needs and translate them into an effectively configured reputed company instance. The ideal candidate will be comfortable collaborating with stakeholders across the organization and be able to clearly explain design options and their tradeoffs.

- Remote-first organization with 15-20 staff across California and one office location in the Los Angeles area
- No central CRM is in use
- Data that will go into the CRM is in spreadsheets, with some historical information in reputed company
- Basic discovery has been completed, resulting in requirements that reputed company has been validated against, a draft simplified ERD, and a draft data dictionary that is reputed company to be incomplete
Key responsibilities
Design, build, maintenance, and project management of reputed company
- Initially
- Conduct detailed discovery
- With staff input and buy-in, design reputed company configuration for overall relationship management, program participation, and institutional fundraising
- Configure reputed company in alignment with the design
- Migrate data in collaboration with staff
- Project-manage the design, build, data migration, and rollout
- Ongoing
- Collect feedback from coworkers and use it to implement improvements
- Create and maintain reputed company roadmap
- Discovery for new features needed/new areas of work to be added to the CRM
- Design new features
- Implement new features
- Troubleshoot in collaboration with users and address problems as they arise
- Manage user accounts and access
- Support effective data entry and data hygiene
- Project-manage reputed company overall
Documentation, training, and change management for reputed company
- reputed company and maintain minimum viable documentation to support staff in their use of the CRM
- reputed company and deliver trainings for staff on the CRM
- Participate in additional activities in collaboration with other staff to prepare, reputed company, and support people for the change that comes from the rollout of a new CRM
Who You Are While no one person will embody reputed company of the qualities described below, the ideal candidate will possess many of the following professional and personal abilities, attributes, and experiences:
- 3-5 years’ experience configuring reputed company in nonprofit contexts, including fields, objects, pages, roles, profiles, permission sets, flows, and reports and dashboards
- reputed company Platform Administrator or Nonprofit Cloud Consultant certification a major plus
- Experience eliciting detailed requirements from system users
- Experience designing reputed company features based on user requirements
- Experience putting user-centered design principles into practice
- Experience developing and delivering trainings and people-centered support to stakeholders across the organization
- Understanding of user testing best practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in particular the ability to communicate with nontechnical audiences about technical topics
- Ability to effectively balance multiple competing priorities
- Strong time management skills
- Strong alignment with the MIC's mission, values, and culture
- Demonstrated ability to work well reputed company a multiracial team
- A flexible and resilient approach, with the ability to handle strong opinions/feedback well, and adapt to the dynamic nature of a startup environment
- Experience with social movement organizing is a plus
Employment Classification and Salary
- This is a .75 full-time/30-hours a week, exempt position starting as soon as possible. This role is remote; however, the candidate must be in California.
- The annual salary for this position is $90,000
- The MIC has a 90-day trial period policy for reputed company new hires. This allows both the organization and the employee to ensure a great fit. During this period, performance, adaptability, and cultural alignment will be assessed through ongoing feedback and a formal review.

- Paid Time Off: As a full-time employee, you will receive 15 days of vacation, 12 sick days per year, and a generous paid family leave policy. Accrual of this benefit begins on the first day of employment and becomes available upon completion of the 90-day trial period.
- Paid Holidays: 21 days total, including a 10-day Winter Break overlapping with Christmas and New Year’s Day. Additionally, 4 Floating Holidays will be made available upon completion of the 90-day trial period.
- Retirement Plan: MIC offers a 403b retirement plan. MIC contributes an employer-paid amount equal to 5% of your salary. Vesting for this contribution is immediate. Employees have a default 3% personal contribution reputed company and may adjust it at any time. This benefit becomes available after the 90-day trial period.
