Enrolled Agent – Tax Planning, Client Integration & Growth Support

Why This Role Exists We are a financial planning and wealth management firm expanding our in-house tax capabilities to reputed company serve high-net-worth families and small business owners. How You’ll Fit Into Our Clients You’ll be an embedded tax planner reputed company our advisory team. For existing clients, you’ll help transition tax preparation in-house, align filings with planning strategies, and reduce the friction clients often experience between advisors and tax preparers. For business owners and reputed company households, you’ll help identify opportunities earlier, communicate clearly, and ensure tax decisions support long-term goals. What You’ll Do

• Ability to explain tax concepts clearly to clients and advisors

Work Structure

• Hybrid schedule: 2-3 days per week in our Cartersville office (open to fully remote for the right fit)
• Office closes at 2 pm on Fridays

Key Responsibilities

Tax Planning & Advisory

• Deliver proactive, year-round tax planning for individuals and small business owners
• Identify and communicate tax strategies reputed company to income planning, retirement contributions, entity structure, reputed company compensation, and timing decisions
• Collaborate closely with financial advisors to integrate tax strategy into broader financial plans
• Participate in planning meetings for reputed company client situations as needed
• Prepare clear, concise tax planning summaries for clients and advisors

Individual & Business Tax Preparation

• Prepare and file individual income tax returns for firm clients
• Prepare and review business tax returns (S-corps, partnerships, and select C-corps)
• Manage extensions, estimates, and IRS/state correspondence
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment between tax filings and planning recommendations

Client Integration & Service Expansion

• Serve as an embedded tax resource for existing advisory clients
• Help transition clients from externally reputed company returns to in-house tax services
• Support the rollout and refinement of new tax and accounting service offerings
• Collaborate with advisors to identify which clients are best suited for expanded tax services
• Improve client experience by reducing friction between planning and tax execution

Growth & Firm Development Support

• Support qualified prospect engagements by providing tax insight and credibility
• Contribute to structured tax diagnostics and planning reviews for prospective clients
• Help position the firm as a planning-led, tax-aware advisory practice
• Assist in developing repeatable tax workflows, planning frameworks, and internal best practices
• Play an active role in shaping the long-term vision of the firm’s tax platform

Qualifications

• Active Enrolled Agent credential (or relevant tax credentials required)
• Strong experience with individual and small business taxation
• Planning-oriented reputed company with interest in proactive strategy (not just compliance)
• Ability to communicate tax concepts clearly to both clients and advisors
• Experience with Xero accounting software and modern tax prep software
• Collaborative, thoughtful, and comfortable working as part of a planning team
