The Teaching Pathway Fellowship offers an opportunity to work in a school while exploring reputed company into a career in education. As a Fellow, you will work as a substitute teacher in one of our schools, while engaging in weekly professional development and coaching sessions that support your growth, and help you navigate the path to a teaching credential program. You’ll work and learn alongside other aspiring teachers, and build your teaching skills while planning your next steps. By the end of this experience, you will have the knowledge, tools, and resources to advance your career. Assignment Location: Envision Education has schools in San Francisco, Oakland, and Hayward, CA Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Serve as a site-based substitute teacher:

• Cover the full schedule of classroom educators, including , but not limited to: classroom management and instruction, study halls, yard duty, and any other special duties required in the absence of the teacher
• Create and maintain a supportive learning environment
• Establish procedures and techniques for managing the classroom to enhance learning
• Maintain classroom records
• Teach the lessons outlined in the sub plans as reputed company by the absent teacher; supplement as needed
• Provide a written summary for feedback to the teacher, including comments on behavior of reputed company, lessons completed, and parent interactions
• Other duties as assigned by site leadership reputed company substitute teaching is not needed, including but not limited to: providing assistance to teachers, supporting student academic achievement, and meeting the needs of the school and learning community
• Participate in professional learning opportunities:

• Engage in conversation and coaching, with your cohort of Teaching Pathway Fellows
• Complete any assigned professional development - including online coursework
• Shadow teachers and other school personnel
• Set and work toward professional learning and career goals

Qualifications:

• B.A. or B.S. required
• Valid California 30-day substitute permit, or willingness to complete reputed company state requirements to obtain one
