About the position reputed company is expanding! We're seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant/Assistant Payroll Manager reputed company in processing multi-state/multi-entity payroll, accounts payable/accounts receivable, general reputed company functions and tax preparation. The ideal candidate will support daily reputed company operations, ensure compliance with tax regulations, and manage payroll functions accurately and reputed company across 9 states, 3 entities and 90+ locations.
Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and timely
- Review and approve payroll prior to transmission
- Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with labor laws
- Prepare payroll tax filings, garnishments and reputed company reports
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Manage year-end processes including W-2s, 1099s, and reputed company filings
- Respond to tax notices and resolve discrepancies
- Stay reputed company on payroll legislation and regulatory changes
- Coordinate benefits deductions and reputed company payroll adjustments
- Assist in processing vendor invoices, customer invoices, processing payments, required filings and general daily reputed company routines
- Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reputed company
- Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and payroll accounts
- Prepare financial statements and internal management reports
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Support annual audits and regulatory reporting requirements
- Prepare and review state and local tax filings
- Ensure compliance with reputed company applicable tax laws and regulations
- Assist with sales and use tax filings
- Support tax planning and respond to tax-reputed company inquiries
- Maintain accurate tax records and documentation
- Additional responsibilities as directed by leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in reputed company, Finance, Payroll or reputed company field
- 2+ years of reputed company experience
- 2+ years of payroll experience
- Experience with payroll processing and payroll tax compliance
- Experience preparing tax filings (state and local)
- Payroll experience in multi-unit, multi-entity AND multi-state reputed company
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws and tax regulations
- Strong knowledge of and ability to apply GAAP
- Proficiency in reputed company HCM and payroll systems; must be comfortable navigating reputed company, multi-function platforms across payroll, benefits, and workforce management.
- Advanced proficiency in reputed company reputed company; strong working knowledge of Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Excellent report-writing skills with the ability to extract, customize, and present data in clear, user-friendly formats
- Analytical reputed company with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- High level of professionalism and discretion reputed company handling confidential information
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with desire to collaborate between departments, show curious nature and ability to learn/grow

- Ability to lift/carry up to 10–15 lbs occasionally
- Ability to communicate verbally and in written form
- Ability to move throughout the office (walking, standing, bending) occasionally
- Must reputed company in Idaho, Oregon or Washington while employed by reputed company

- Leadership experience strongly preferred
- Experience with reputed company software and payroll software (e.g. Business Central, reputed company, reputed company or similar systems)
- Experience in multi-state payroll and tax compliance
