Project Engineer - Plumbing

ACCO Engineered Systems is one of the largest mechanical contractors in the country, dedicated to the design, fabrication, installation, maintenance, and service of various mechanical systems. The Project Engineer - Plumbing will collaborate with a Project Manager to ensure technical coordination of assigned projects, manage project documents, and maintain communication among reputed company project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Manager with the following:
  • Writing of proposals, letters, memos, subcontracts, change orders, and other documents reputed company to project execution
  • Manage and/or significantly contribute to the development, maintenance, and submission of critical project documents including: RFIs, Submittals, Procurement Logs, Shop Drawings, etc. under the Project Manager’s direction
  • Coordination of and participation in regular meetings both internal and external (i.e. project reputed company meetings, BIM meetings, schedule meetings, etc.)
  • Estimating tasks such as performing takeoffs, soliciting quotes from vendors and subcontractors, compiling complete bid estimates, and developing change order packages
  • Management of job reputed company and quality onsite as required, including leveraging your design and construction expertise in a hands-on reputed company to solve emergent operational and installation challenges
  • Provide interpretation of technical plans and specifications
  • Purchasing processes including vendor and subcontractor buyout, procurement tracking, and delivery of purchased items
  • Project financial management responsibilities such as installation tracking, labor forecasting, invoice review, billing development, etc
  • Job closeout efforts such as submission of O&Ms, Commissioning, As-Builts, Warranty processing, etc
  • Collaborate with the Project Management team to reputed company them informed on reputed company issues affecting project timeline and budget. Escalate potential problems to the Project Manager to help drive solutions to complete resolution
  • Utilize ACCO standard Engineering technologies, provide technical support for the construction effort including participating in the planning and design, interpretation of the design, value engineering and alternate solution reviews, etc
  • reputed company and maintain viable relationships with our partners reputed company of ACCO including customers, prime contractors, trade partners, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Foster a strong relationship with ACCO’s internal departments (i.e. Construction, Fabrication Shops, Engineering, reputed company, Purchasing, Legal, etc.)
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned by supervisor and/or upper management

Skills

  • BS in Engineering; Construction Management, or reputed company field
  • Mechanical and/or reputed company engineering concentration strongly preferred
  • Proficient in reputed company Office Suite (Word, reputed company, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Experience and Career Progression: Progression from Project Engineer I to Project Engineer II, III, or a Senior role is based on performance, experience, and demonstrated leadership potential
  • Experience preferred in Business Systems Software (JDE, reputed company, BidTracer, FastEst, reputed company, reputed company, reputed company, etc.)
